Information about Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf:

Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf was born on April 15, 1952, in Andijan Region.

He pursued his studies at the "Mir Arab" Madrasa in Bukhara and later attended the Imam Bukhari Islamic Institute in Tashkent.

Upon graduating from the institute, he began working for the journal "Muslims of the Soviet East."

The Religious Administration of Muslims in Central Asia and Kazakhstan sent Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf abroad to study at the Islamic Call Faculty in Tripoli, Libya. He graduated with honors from this faculty in 1980 and returned to his homeland.

Upon his return, Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf worked in the external relations department of the Religious Administration of Muslims in Central Asia and Kazakhstan while also teaching at the institute. He later served as the deputy director and subsequently as the director of the institute.

In 1989, during the General Congress of the Religious Administration, Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf was appointed Mufti of Central Asia and Kazakhstan. He also became the first Mufti of an independent Uzbekistan.

Shaykh was a founding member of numerous significant organizations, including the "World Muslim League" in Mecca, the World Sufi Association, and various councils related to Muslim scholars worldwide.

Additionally, he received honorary titles and awards from several countries, including the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Great Libyan Jamahiriya, and the Russian Federation.

Shaykh Muhammad Sodiq Muhammad Yusuf passed away on March 10, 2015, in Tashkent.
